Terms of service

The agreement between Hushdesk and the businesses that use it.

Last updated 6 October 2026

This page is a carefully written template that has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be finalised before Hushdesk opens to the public.

These terms are an agreement between Hushdesk (“we”) and the business that creates a workspace (“you”). By creating an account you accept them on behalf of that business.

1. The service

Hushdesk is a customer support platform: a shared inbox, live chat, AI features, integrations with online stores, and related tools. We may improve and change features. We will not remove a core feature you pay for during your billing period without notice.

2. Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details safe and turn on two-step sign-in or a passkey for admins.
  • You are responsible for what people in your workspace do.
  • You must be able to enter into contracts and use Hushdesk for business purposes.

3. Plans, billing and caps

  • Prices and limits are on the Pricing page. Seats are unlimited on every plan.
  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, or through Shopify when you install from the Shopify App Store.
  • Every plan has monthly limits for conversations and AI answers. When you reach a limit, the affected feature pauses until the next month or until you change plan. We never upgrade your plan or charge overage without your action.
  • Messages from your customers are always received and stored, even over a limit.
  • You can cancel at any time from your settings. Cancelling stops renewal; we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it.

4. Your data

You own the data you put into Hushdesk. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy policy and Data processing agreement. You can export it at any time, and delete it yourself.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Hushdesk to send spam, break the law, infringe others’ rights, attack our systems, or try to reach data that is not yours. We may suspend a workspace that does, and will tell you why.

6. AI features

AI replies are generated from your data and may be wrong. You control which topics the AI may answer and in which mode. You remain responsible for what is sent to your customers.

7. Third-party services

Integrations such as Shopify, Stripe and tracking services are provided by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Hushdesk available at all times and will tell account owners about significant incidents. Human support is available on every plan.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending the agreement

You can close your workspace at any time. We may end this agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for a serious breach. After closing, you have 30 days to export your data before we delete it.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will give account owners at least 30 days’ notice of changes that reduce your rights.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Hushdesk is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless your local law gives you other rights.
